After a welcome reception, you’ll enjoy an evening tour of the Columbia Icefield Skywalk — a cliff-edge, glass-floored walkway 280 metres (918 feet) above the Sunwapta Valley. Take in breathtaking views of massive glaciers and majestic waterfalls while keeping an eye open for mountain goats and other wildlife. Spend the evening relaxing, stargazing and indulging in the peaceful surroundings. In the morning, you’ll explore the ancient Athabasca Glacier and experience the thrill of travelling in a premium Ice Odyssey vehicle, built to navigate the world’s toughest terrain. You’ll learn about glaciology and the history of the icefield before stepping onto the glacier at an exclusive site beyond the traditional turnaround point.
After dinner, you can step out onto the Viewing Deck to marvel at the night sky, relax with a book from our library or unwind inside the Moraine Lounge.

There’s full table service during dinner and a gourmet breakfast to enjoy at Altitude Restaurant. Take your time, fuel up, find solitude and admire the views. It’s time to say farewell following breakfast, so you continue your adventure down the Icefields Parkway. We hope you enjoyed your time at Glacier View Lodge.
